Our Roots:
Our idea began when our children were very young and we wanted our family (including the grown-ups) to eat more vegetables. We searched the web, talked to doctors, our moms, read books and the #1 recommendation by far was to hide vegetables in other foods. So that is exactly what we did.
We pureed vegetables and hid them in macaroni & cheese, we sneaked spinach under pizza cheese, we baked veggie muffins, veggie breads, and we even tried broccoli brownies. Nothing worked until we created the original version of the Yotta bar in our kitchen.
Lack of vegetables (and fruits) is a problem for 89% of us adults as well!
Through this process, we kept questioning why aren’t there food products out there that contain vegetables yet appeal to the tastes of the “veggie-averse”? This is the root of our company, which we named the Undercover Vegetable Company. We’re out to help everyone sneak more vegetables into their diets.
